Aerolineas Argentinas, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) and Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales (YPF) presented at the Ezeiza international airport the plane that will transport the fans of the soccer team that will attend the World Cup in Qatar, specially plotted with the national colors and photos of the players.
The presentation took place in Hangar 5 of Aerolineas Argentinas, in an act in which the president of the flag line, Pablo Ceriani; the head of the AFA, Claudio “Chiqui” Tapia, and Santiago Carreras, manager of Institutional Affairs and Communication of YPF.
In addition, figures from the world of sports, media, influencers and authorities attended, along with directors of the Adidas and Schneider companies, which are also official sponsors of the selection.
The meeting that had a lot of World Cup mystique unveiled the image of the plane that will accompany the fans traveling to Qatar under the slogan “A team, a country, a dream”.

It is an Airbus 330-200 aircraft with registration LV-FVH of Aerolineas Argentinas, which was plotted, especially, with images of the players of the Argentine soccer team, carrying an image of Leonel Messi on the tail of the plane. Also, the fuselage wears the Adidas albiceleste jacket that the team will wear in Qatar 2022.
The work on the aircraft was carried out with lacquered vinyl according to the safety standards established by the aircraft manufacturer and Airlines.
Total, there are 350 square meters of aeronautical plotting.
“The World Cup is an excellent opportunity to take the Aerolineas Argentinas brand not only to Qatar but to the whole world. In this way we are gaining visibility to continue growing as a company and open the door to new markets. Starting tomorrow, this plane will travel the skies of all our international destinations. It is, without a doubt, one of the main publicity actions of our management”, said Ceriani.
Tapia, for his part, stated that “it is a source of pride for us that our flag carrier is accompanying us in this new challenge that the FIFA World Cup in Qatar represents. I also want to thank all the sponsors who contributed their grain of sand to to be able to have that wonderful plane. This Airbus 330-200 will transport the hopes and good wishes of all Argentines around the world”.
For his part, Santiago Carreras pointed out that “at YPF we have an alliance with AFA that allowed us to accompany them in each championship and we are anxious, like everyone else, for the World Cup to come. This plane that will carry fuel from our company also means the energy of a country accompanying the National Team and representing the passion of all Argentines.”
Last July, Aerolineas Argentinas and the Argentine Football Association signed an agreement whereby the airline became a digital sponsor.
The understanding also includes that Adidas will give each of the passengers who take the Aerolineas flight to Doha, a gift shirt for fans to support the Argentine Soccer Team.
The aircraft presented today will be one of those in charge of carrying out the flights to Doha of the flag company.
Based on the planned schedule, the first flight will depart from the Ministro Pistarini Airport at 3:25 p.m., and will make a stopover in Rome, Italy, to arrive in the Qatari capital at 5:05 p.m. local time, with an estimated duration of 19 hours.
