“We believe that there is a lot of potential in the country, it is a destination that has much more to offer as incoming tourism,” Ortiz said.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Tourism, Tabaré Viera, assured that the ministry is working on the promotion of the destination Uruguay in a diversified offer. “Uruguay has traditionally been dependent on the Argentine market, but between 15% and 20% of the visitors that come to Uruguay come from Brazil,” concluded Viera.
