Two aircraft from the Latam company collided on the runway at Congonhas Airport, this Tuesday morning (3). Both were taxiing, a term used to describe the movement to park, land or take off.
In a statement, Latam reported that neither crew nor passengers were exposed to risks or injured, disembarking “normally and in complete safety”. The company stated that the aircraft that collided were sent for inspections and that customers on board their flight were accommodated in others.
“Latam collaborates with the investigations by Cenipa (Aeronautical Accident Investigation and Prevention Center) to clarify the event,” he wrote.
“Latam regrets the inconvenience and emphasizes that it adopts all technical and operational measures to ensure a safe trip for everyone,” he added.
