On Monday night, air traffic controllers Derbys Rodríguez and Guillermo González were released after their lawyers confronted the custodians at the Palace of Justice who refused to comply with the release ticket issued by a judge.

Minutes later, he added that there was an altercation with officials from the Ministry for Penitentiary Services, but despite this they prevented them from being detained.

In May of this year, the attorney general of the Republic appointed by the illegitimate and extinct constituent assembly, Tarek William Saab, reported that the case of the two controllers was in the trial phase.
He recalled that Guillermo González was accused of “disclosure of confidential information, terrorism and association”; while Derbys Rodríguez of the alleged crimes of “disclosure of confidential information and association”. The latter was accused of being an accomplice of González.
