Air Europa extends cancellations of its flights to Venezuela until the end of January

Air Europa, which operates between Madrid and Caracas, has its license to fly to Venezuela suspended by order of the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC), which also canceled the permits to Iberia, Plus Ultra, TAP, Avianca, Gol, Latam Colombia and Turkish Airlines


The Spanish airline Air Europa announced this Monday, December 29, the extension of the cancellations of its flights between Madrid and Caracas until January 31, inclusive, “due to the situation in Venezuela,” according to the company.

The airline suspended its operations in Venezuela on November 24 and since then has been extending the cancellation, now set until January 31, 2026.

For affected travelers, Air Europa offers free date and route changes, a voucher or a refund of the cost of their tickets.

Iberia and Plus Ultra also extended until January 31 the suspension of their flights between Madrid and Caracas on the recommendation of the Aviation Safety Agency (AESA), as sources from both companies recently confirmed to the EFE agency.

The three companies that operate between both countries have had their licenses suspended to fly to Venezuela by order of the Venezuelan National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC), which also canceled the permits for TAP (Portugal), Avianca (Colombia), Gol (Brazil), Latam Colombia and Turkish Airlines (Turkey).
