The administrator of the Government Innovation Authority (AIG), Luis Oliva, explained the creation of the MedicApp platform in which Panamanians will be able to know what medicines will be available and their prices.

Oliva stressed that it will also be possible to know the proximity in relation to the location of your home or where the pharmacies or the medicine are located within a range of 5 kilometers.

Said platform was created by the AIG and the Authority for Consumer Protection and Defense of Competition (Acodeco), and will allow pharmacy owners, through a user number, to enter the platform to update the prices in their shops. “In this first phase, work is being done based on the prices that Acodeco handles,” he said.

The official revealed that this Friday a great training will be carried out with more than 1,300 pharmacies so that they get to know the application and can use it.

It should be noted that users who already have a profile in Panama Digital will be able to use this portal.
