Aída Victoria Merlano, appeared this Thursday before a judge of the republic after the Prosecutor’s Office pointed her out to an alleged “illicit enrichment of individuals.”

In addition, the instagrammer who faces a conviction for her mother’s escape from a dental office in October 2019 in Bogotá, assured that she will not lower her guard in this accusation and “will fight until the last moment for her innocence.”

During the hearing carried out virtually, the prosecutor assured that Aída Victoria created a fictitious company for her mother (Aída Merlano Rebolledo) to transfer 2,900 million pesos as a donation.

It is for this reason that the accusing entity indicates that it allegedly increases its assets “unjustifiably” for a value of 3,200 million pesos.

“The defendant would have participated in an illegal network that allowed her to establish, in 2019, a company dedicated to engineering, architecture and urban planning,” says a statement from the Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the investigation carried out by the institution, said company “never fulfilled or carried out the activities for which it was created and registered. Additionally, it was established that Merlano Manzaneda, apparently, did not have sufficient resources to create it nor did he have a credit history, “adds the bulletin issued in the last hours.

Also, the accusing entity argues that the influencer “did not have assets that generated income to leverage the financial movements she supported.”

The bulletin ends, indicating that “the accused today was involved in the constitution of this company to, supposedly, hide nine properties that would belong to her mother, former congresswoman Aida Merlano Rebolledo, whose appraisal would exceed 2,900 million pesos.
