Aida de Maduro hopes that the CSS Dialogue will continue and that the ILO report does not have to be waited for

In Maduro’s consideration, a lot of time was dedicated to the dialogue in terms of form and it fell short in content to deal with issues that were necessary and it was not thought in favor of the Social Security Fund as an institution.

The plenary table of the Dialogue for the Social Security Fund (CSS) seems to go along and there are still issues to be discussed such as the Disability, Old Age and Death (IVM) program, so Aida de Maduro, president of the board directive of the CSS, considered that there are concrete actions that can be taken that do not require a modification of the law, but that do need the will of all sectors.

He highlighted that there are administration issues that could be taken up again and that were already discussed at the tables and approved.

“On the subject of dialogue, it is maintained, it has its own guidelines and they are not necessarily linked to the board of directors; obviously the board does have a concern for the dialogue to continue and not wait for us to have the ILO report and continue to delay this, “he said.

He mentioned that it has been thought of proposing to divide the debate on restructuring the institution, and divide it into two parts so that when the ILO part arrives, they can be better on track regarding an issue of great importance for Panama and execute the actions that have already been planned.

In Maduro’s consideration, a lot of time was dedicated to the dialogue in terms of form and it fell short in content to deal with issues that were necessary and it was not thought in favor of the Social Security Fund as an institution.
