One ranking business risk report prepared by the Allianz Group’s corporate insurer, Allianz Commercial, shows that artificial intelligence is the main concern of the business sector in Brazil. This is the first time that AI appears as the main business risk highlighted by Brazilian executives.
According to the survey, artificial intelligence continues to be seen as a powerful strategic lever for business, but also as a growing source of operational, legal and reputational risks, exceeding the ability of companies to structure governance, monitor regulation and adequately prepare their teams.
“Considering the growing importance of AI in society and industry, it is not surprising that it is the main driver of variation in the Allianz Risk Barometer. In addition to bringing enormous opportunities, its transformative potential, combined with rapid evolution and adoption, is reshaping the risk landscape, becoming a central concern for companies”, highlighted the CEO of Allianz Commercial, Thomas Lillelund.
The main concerns highlighted by businesspeople in ranking they are:
- Artificial intelligence (32% of citations);
- Cyber incidents (31%);
- Changes in legislation and regulations (28%);
- Climate change (27%) and
- Natural disasters (21%).
