The health proposals

In each block, the candidates took advantage of the topics to launch accusations against their rivals, although – at the insistence of the moderators – they tried to list their proposals.

For her part, Martha Márquez’s candidate, from the Together We Make History alliance, preferred to speak on the subject of water, which, although it is one of the entity’s main problems, was not the subject of the round, which is why it was again interrupted by the moderates, and in response, the senator on leave criticized the lack of freedom of expression.

Márquez also criticized the disappearance of Seguro Popular, and proposed care with a focus on mental health in addition to ensuring that, if he wins on June 5, he will not join the Welfare Health Institute (Insabi).

Nora Ruvalcaba, Morena’s candidate, celebrated that Tere Jiménez attended the debate and that her chair was not empty, as happened in the meeting organized by the private initiative on May 23, in which the PAN member did not participate.

On the health issue, the candidate proposed joining the Insabi to guarantee free medical care and medicines for the population, as well as the first state addiction center in all with extension to all municipalities and early detection of suicide, teenage pregnancy, addictions; and respect for the labor rights of the workers in the sector.

Anayeli Muñoz, candidate of the Movimiento Ciudadano party, proposed a comprehensive and universal system, as well as fighting against the shortage of medicines and poor medical coverage with a preventive health system for all sectors of the population and budget transparency. The candidate also criticized the disappearance of Seguro Popular and the federal strategy through Insabi, while she criticized Jiménez for corrupt practices.

For her part, Natzielly Rodríguez, who competes for the Fuerza por México party but assures that she promotes the principles of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, proposed monitoring to identify the population’s health needs and those at greatest risk, as well as the surveillance, investigation and control of public health risks.
