Aguas Andinas reports an event of turbidity in drinking water in the northwestern area of ​​Santiago

Aguas Andinas provided details of the episode of turbidity that was experienced in a timely manner in sectors of different communes in the northwestern area of ​​Santiago. This, due to operational maneuvers that were carried out in the drinking water network as part of a plan to improve production and distribution services, impacting sectors of the communes of Santiago, Cerro Navia, Quinta Normal, Estación Central, Lo Prado and Pudahuel.

For the tranquility of the community, the company reported that the event does not represent risks to people’s health. According to the first measurements taken in different communes, the quality of the water complies with the parameters established by current regulations.

It is expected that in the next few hours, the drinking water service will operate normally in the different communes. Meanwhile, Aguas Andinas regrets the inconveniences that this episode may have caused between the community and the neighbors.

Likewise, the company will continue to monitor the event and implement various measurements in the different points of the city where the turbidity phenomenon has been experienced.
