The Minister of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries, Fernando Mattos, made “a call for the responsibility of the producers to prevent the cuts from reaching the consumption chain.”
Mattos assured that the merchandise “did not come out of the refrigerators”, in any case, he does not rule out the application of fines.
Surveillance
He added: “There is a control system, a laboratory, managed by the Directorate of Veterinary Laboratories (DILAVE), and also through the private companies themselves that have their controls, for which some cases have been detected, which speaks well of the surveillance service, but what must happen here is to be adjusted to the regulations and that all producers who use agrochemicals or veterinary products obey the waiting periods.”
