Agrobank was present, through the president of the board Percy Medina Morales, at the inauguration of the new and modern premises of the Board of Users of the Chancay Huaral Hydraulic Sector, a work carried out with the institution’s own resources and that marks a milestone in the management of water resources in this important agricultural area of the country.
Medina Morales sponsored the new building, highlighting the leadership of the president of the Users Board, engineer Julio Melgarejo, and the articulated work that has been developed for the benefit of small agricultural producers.
The Board of Users of the Chancay Huaral Hydraulic Sector brings together 17 irrigation commissions and is recognized nationally as a model of efficient water management, thanks to its commitment to an equitable distribution of the water resource and the implementation of complementary services, such as the sale of guano from the islands, in direct support to farmers in the area.
Within the framework of the inauguration, representatives of Agrobanco and the Board held conversations aimed at coordinating the future installation of an Agrobanco office in the new headquarters, which will bring the entity’s financial products and services even closer to the agricultural producers of the Chancay-Huaral valley.
“It is a great satisfaction to see how MIDAGRI, through coordination with institutions such as the National Water Authority, contributes to organizations such as the Chancay Huaral Hydraulic Sector Users Board to modernize their infrastructure and continue improving the services they provide to our small producers,” said the president of the Agrobanco Board of Directors.
The inauguration of this modern infrastructure constitutes a concrete example of how inter-institutional coordination and efficient management can generate real impacts in the countryside, strengthening user organizations and promoting the sustainable development of family farming.
