Agrobank expects to exceed S/ 1,000 million in placements this year in order to promote the development of family farming and benefit more than 100,000 small producers with the delivery of credits for their campaigns agricultural and livestock.
“After the results obtained in 2021, we believe that this year we can increase the number of beneficiaries, that is, serve more small agricultural producers who need to be included in the financial system to improve their production.”, stated the chairman of the board of directors of Agrobanco, César Quispe.
To meet its objective, Agrobanco will open 20 new offices, including regional agencies and information offices. Likewise, during this year agricultural and livestock products will be financed through targeted campaigns, CrediFácil with the Fund for the Financial Inclusion of Small Agricultural Producers (Fifppa) and the direct financing programs of the Agroperú Fund.

In the case of the campaign targeted by product, small farmers can request financing for the crops established in 2021: hard yellow corn, cocoa, lemon, avocado and tangerine, he mentioned. In 2022, mango, paprika, olive, oregano, cattle fattening and dairy cattle products will be added to this list.
For the CrediFácil campaign with Fifppa, the guidelines are maintained, that is, the campaign is aimed at small agricultural producers who are current clients of Agrobanco and are up to date with their payments, small farmers who have canceled their credit in the last six months and all those who have active credit in Agrobanco and their payment frequency is monthly, bimonthly or quarterly.
As for the direct financing programs of the Agroperú Fund, they are oriented towards small associated producers and their organizations such as cooperatives, producer associations, members of peasant and native communities, water user organizations and the like.
Last year, Agrobanco disbursed 763.4 million soles in 91,387 small agricultural producers, being the regions with the highest disbursement: Puno (12%), San Martín (7.4%), Huánuco (6.8%), Junín (6.8%), Arequipa ( 6.7%), Cajamarca (6.7%), Piura (5.9%), Ayacucho (5.9%), Cusco (5.1%) and Áncash (3.9%).
