Within the framework of the Regional Agrarian Convention of Fist Organized by Conveagro, the president of the board of directors of Agrobanco, César Quispe Luján, reported that the disbursements made in the region exceeded S / 111 million and benefited 8,709 small agricultural producers, between January 2021 and February 2022.
César Quispe highlighted that Agrobanco works hard to promote financial inclusion in the country’s rural sector. In addition, he highlighted that small producers have been complying with their payments, proof of which is that the delinquency rate of the new portfolio does not exceed 2%.
It should be noted that, during this period, 7,930 small producers in Puno obtained a loan for the first time. While the average amount of loans delivered in the region is S/12,792.

The most financed products in Puno were: cattle fattening (S/93.4 million), South American camelids (S/7.4 million), coffee (S/5.9 million), quinoa (S/2.5 million), among others.
The event, held at the headquarters of the Regional Agrarian Directorate, was attended by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism, the Regional Governor of Puno, as well as representatives of producers from the 13 provinces of the region.
Agrobanco is a state company dedicated to the financial inclusion of small agricultural producers in the country, by granting loans individually and/or associated through agreements with producer organizations.
