San Francisco de Macorís, Duarte. – The Ministry of Agriculture reported that plane companies that fumigate outside the schedule established in this city, to prevent damage to health, could be suspension of their operations.
The decision to sanction or suspend these companies was notified after a meeting with various educational sectors and government authorities of the Duarte province, to seek an exit to cases of poisoning in school schools by aerial application of pesticides.
On the instructions of the Minister of Agriculture, Limber Cruz, the Director of Plant Health, Rosa Lazala, moved to this demarcation, together with experts in the problem.
Likewise, plant health will immediately have the allocation of more technicians for the sub -direction of pesticides, which will supervise the preparation of chemicals and the control of schedules in which they will be applied in agricultural plots.
Dr. Rosario Gómez, a specialist in toxicology, explained that it was proven by clinical diagnosis, that affected children have current conditions, such as allergies, bronchial asthma, hypertension, hypothyroidism and diabetes, therefore, the inhalation of the chemist becomes a trigger for Complications greater than health.
