Exports from the agricultural sector continue to report historical figures, since between January and April 2022 totaled US$4,023 millionwhich represented a growth of 30%, compared to the same period in 2021.

According to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Rodolfo Zea Navarro, “from the Government the highest exports in history have been achieved in the agricultural sector. In 2020, 2021 and so far in 2022, we have been exceeding expectations, thanks to the efforts of producers, businessmen and entities with which we have opened new markets and expanded the sector’s sales abroad.”
The figures for traditional products such as coffee, flowers and bananas, reached sales in the abroad for US$2,561 million and an increase of 29.9%.
Meanwhile, exports of non-traditional products reached US$1,462 million and a variation of 29.8%.
Among this group of export products, palm oil stands out with a 118% variation; cocoa, which contributed 5%; tilapia with 25.7%; cape gooseberry with a trend of 16.6%; and finally the trout that obtained 40%.
Likewise, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the United States is the main buyer of Colombian products with a 39.2% share in the export basket.

Similarly, continue the Netherlands with 5.8%; Belgium with 4.5%; and Canada with 3.9%.
