Agricultural Development Bank announces support for clients affected by inclement weather

The Agricultural Development Bank, reaffirming its commitment to producers affected by inclement weather, announces that as a support measure, it will work on a resolution to restructure the credits of those clients who have been affected in their productive activities.

With this initiative, the BDA seeks to alleviate the financial burden of its clients, facilitating the recovery process and continuing its support for the national producer.

Technicians from the different branches have made visits to the impacted areas. The affected regions and the main crops affected are the following:

Province of Veraguas: Losses in this region include various productive activities in the communities of Dos Bocas, Trinchera, where cattle producers have been affected; Esclere, Soná, with damage to rice crops; and San Juanito, La Soledad, in chicken manure production. Affectations were also recorded in Hicaco, south of Soná, in artisanal fishing; in Calidonia and Pixvae, with the fattening of male cattle; Corotú de Bahía Honda and Guarumal, south of Soná, with effects on artisanal fishing and bovine fattening, respectively; and in Pixvae, Las Palmas, in fattened steer.
While in the province of Chiriquí losses are reported in:
Concepción: Losses in rice, vegetable and fruit crops.
David: Losses in sugar cane, dry rice, and cattle farming.
Boquete: Losses in coffee crops.
Paso Canoas: Losses in banana production for national consumption.
Volcano: Losses in onion, potato and various vegetable crops.
