In addition, the CSMC, SA signed another contract with Meliá Hotels Cuba that gives continuity to an alliance already established with the Spanish chain now with the purpose of offering health tourism packages.
The Cuban Medical Services Marketing Company is also dedicated, according to a report by the agency Ephto the export of professional services, a line that is the first source of income for the Cuban economy, before tourism.
The Cuban authorities are promoting the renovation of post-pandemic tourism to reactivate a key sector for its economy, which is going through a serious crisis due to the combination of COVID-19, the tightening of US sanctions and failures in national management.
Cuba, dependent on income from tourism, reopened its borders in the middle of last November after the forced closure due to the pandemic.
