The director of the Association of Colombians in Venezuela, Juan Carlos Tanus, stressed that the signing of economic agreements between Colombia and Venezuela is done to reinforce the reestablishment of friendship ties and border dynamics.
In this sense, he stressed that there was a “compendium of instruments, with which they had already been working and the agreement was established precisely to reinforce the improvement in the ties of friendship, the dynamism with which cooperation and border dynamics start.”
He said that six months after the reopening of the Colombian-Venezuelan border, the established agreements have been clearly improving and that in relation to the control of movement between the two countries by land, he said that the opening generates trust and that security It must be a joint effort, he said during an interview with VTV.
In turn, he affirmed that the agreement stimulates legal certainty for investors from both nations; He also stressed that confidence for investment is reinforced.
“The most important thing is that it stimulates legal certainty between both countries, clearly defines the concept of investment and investors during this period, which is very important for both economies, but which transcends because it prolongs it over time. The effectiveness occurs, to the extent that trust improves and said agreement, has the objective of guaranteeing that it is legally on the right path, “he added.
Finally, Tanus commented that both Colombia and Venezuela intend to create spaces for peace and encounter in the border areas, to encourage the economy.
