Santo Domingo. – The Airport Department (DA) and the Permanent State Land Titling Commission (Cptte) signed an inter-institutional collaboration agreement to guarantee, in an agile and efficient manner, the titling of the land of the families that occupied the properties where build the Cabo Rojo International Airportin Pedernales.
The agreement signed between the executive director of the DA, Victor Pichardo, and the head of the CPTTE, Duarte Méndez Peña, contemplates in its general lines, executing the technical processes pertinent for the regularization, individualization and definitive titling of the land, in favor of all the occupants who have been previously identified.
“This agreement will mark a before and after in the Pedernales area, specifically in the Oviedo municipality, because it will guarantee that those citizens who, voluntarily, took that firm step of providing the land where the airport is built, will have their title of definitive property that allows him to fulfill his dream of a more dignified life,” said Pichardo.
He explained that the agreement also contemplates working in a combined manner for the standardization of all terrains that house the different heliports, international and domestic state airports of the country, with the purpose of being registered in favor of the institution that it directs.
“We guarantee, with all responsibility, the titling of all these lands,” he pointed out.
Meanwhile, Méndez Peña valued Pichardo’s initiative, after indicating that its objective is to resolve issues that have been left behind for many years and that, under the vision of President Luis Abinader, the regularization of housing is being carried out. lots and plots through the institution he heads.
“We know that this regularization of such an important project is part of the development process of the Dominican Republic and, for us, it is a great satisfaction and we are in a position to support with everything necessary to achieve that objective,” he emphasized.
Pursuant to the agreement, the Titling Commission will be committed to providing the brigades of surveyors and technical professionals, as well as the tools to carry out the technical processes in the properties acquired by the DA, and those occupied by the different heliports, international state airports and domestic.
The DA undertakes to provide the technicians designated by the CPTTE with all the information and documentation required by them, during the survey process and subsequent execution before the bodies of the Real Estate Jurisdiction.
