The Ministry of Agriculture and the General Directorate for Community Development (DGDC) signed an agreement that seeks to strengthen family farming as a way to guarantee food security and economic development for the low-income population.

Minister Limber Cruz said that this initiative will expand the coverage of the services offered by both institutions, with more support, technical advice and supplies to promote the production and marketing of basic foods among vulnerable families.

“Family farming is the basis of food in any part of the world. Today we have a supply of products due to the interventions of this Ministry and we want to continue contributing to the development of the communities, especially the most impoverished ones”, indicated the minister.
