The Grupo Puntacana Foundation and the Banreservas Volunteers signed a strategic collaboration agreement to develop social and environmental protection programs and initiatives in the province of La Altagracia and the eastern region.
The actions to be developed include reforestation days, contributions to the Puntacana Children’s Diversity Center (CEDI), promoting citizen awareness programs on recycling, solid waste, prevention and health issues, as well as working on collaborative initiatives in the educational system. Similarly, during the meeting, Banreservas Volunteers donated an electroencephalogram kit for complete child brain mapping to the Puntacana Children’s Diversity Center (CEDI), contributing in an essential way to the medical care of the center’s patients and to the 10 % of the child population in the area with special needs, according to a study conducted by the University of Florida. The agreement between both institutions was signed by Jake Kheel, vice president of the Fundación Grupo Puntacana; Noelia García de Pereyra, president of the Banreservas Volunteers; and Sabrina Andújar, director of the Banreservas Volunteering.
“It is an honor for the Banreservas Volunteers to sign this agreement with the Grupo Puntacana Foundation. Each of the actions we carry out seeks to impact and contribute to the social, economic and environmental development of the country. With this alliance we reinforce our commitment to build a better world for all Dominicans. We affirm that with small gestures, great achievements are obtained and we assure that joining efforts is the key to achieving sustainable and high-impact results”, said Noelia de Pereyra, president of Banreservas Volunteering.
