Authorities from the Ministry of Social Development (Mides) and the Ingener company signed a mutual cooperation agreement for the purpose of providing ex-prisoners registered in the labor exchange of the National Directorate for Support to the Released (Dinali) the possibility of accessing work experiences . “We have to work as a country on second chances,” Minister Martín Lema told the Presidential Communication.
Lema was accompanied in the activity, this Monday the 19th at the Mides headquarters, by the undersecretary of the portfolio, Andrea Brugman; the general coordinator of the National Directorate of Support for Released Persons, Daniel Fernández, and authorities from the construction company Ingener.
Minister Lema stressed that opportunities like this contribute significantly to society, and that with their contribution, criminal recidivism or homelessness is avoided. In this sense, he explained that since the arrival of Dinali in Mides, the search for tools that provide training, as well as medical care and emotional support for users, has been permanent. In addition, he alluded to “a paradigm shift”, in which care is passed from police stations to territorial offices.
Through this agreement, Ingener will be able to ask Dinali for candidates who can fill any of the jobs in its projects and works unit, to the extent that there are vacancies with the required profiles. Subsequently, the selection of candidates and their hiring will be the power of the company, which will respect the same contractual, salary and disciplinary conditions as those established for any other worker.
For its part, Dinali will preselect and nominate candidates according to the profiles required by Ingener.
In addition, the institution will accompany each person hired until the end of their relationship with the company, and will provide training workshops related to employability.
The agreement concluded on this day will be valid for two years.
