The right-wing coalition, buckled behind the candidate of the National PartyÁlvaro Delgado, held several events in Montevideo this Wednesday, one of them in Pocitos, with the participation of the four parties that support the Delgado-Ripoll formula.
In his speech, Tabare Viera He made the same mistake again that made him go viral a couple of days ago, when in a radio program he called to vote for the formula of the Wide Frontled by Yamandu Orsi (and with Carolina Cosse for the vice presidency).
“This coalition is here to stay, with so many young legislators elected and with so many young people also re-elected. He came to stay, to work more for the country. Therefore, we are happy to participate in these joint acts here in Montevideo, in the different neighborhoods and throughout the national territory, where teams from the coalition”, said Viera, former presidential candidate for the Colorado Party.
And he continued: “And the coalitionist feeling is growing that it is not going to eliminate the nuances, the difference, the historical and philosophical conditions (…) much more valuable things unite us, which are those essential values of our republic.”
Tabaré Viera asks for votes for “the Orsi-Ripoll formula”
The lapse that is repeated to Viera was an accidental call to vote in favor of Yamandú Orsi: “And for this reason, clearly, we recommend voting for the Orsi-Ripoll formula”he stated, but said formula does not exist, because Orsi is from the FA and Ripoll from the PN.
Upon realizing this, and with clarifications that came from the audience present, the red man tried to explain himself: “Because there was fake news based on this, and that’s why I want to tell you that you have to ‘throw it away’ -with a b- and ‘vote’ – with v- for the Delgad-Ripoll formula, which is the one we want everyone to vote for.”
Viera concluded his speech by accusing the radio program Más Temprano que Tarde, on 810 AM, of editing “partially to give false news,” which, according to him, would have generated the sensation that he was effectively inviting vote for the Frente Amplio.
