After weeks of complaints, the Government declares a national disaster due to fires

The Minister of the Presidency, María Nel aPrada announced this Monday, September 30, the declaration of national disaster due to the forest fires that have devastated more than 7 million hectares in Santa Cruz.

The decision was made after an emergency meeting of the president, Luis Arce, with the acting governor, Mario Aguilera, and other national and departmental authorities, who evaluated the seriousness of the situation.
