Weather conditions in Paraná are expected to improve in the coming days, following the damage caused by a cold front, which led to the formation of a tornado in the city of Rio Bonito do Iguaçu. According to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), it should rain again in the state from Wednesday (12), but not with the same intensity. According to Inmet, the temperature should drop in the region with the arrival of a cold mass.
Inmet meteorologist Danilo Siden explained that the cold front that caused the storms in the South Region is now moving to the Southeast and has already brought rain and gusts of wind to Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
Now, a cold mass should drop temperatures in Paraná and Santa Catarina.
“What stands out for Paraná now is the cold. After the passage of the cold front, we have a mass of cold air stationed in the region. From dawn today we will already have very low temperatures in Paraná and Santa Catarina”, informed Danilo.
In Rio Bonito do Iguaçu, a city of 14,000 inhabitants and the epicenter of the tornado, the temperature is expected to fluctuate between 13 and 22 degrees Celsius (°C) this Saturday (8), but the minimum measurement could reach 11°C on Sunday (9).
A similar movement should occur in the capital of Paraná, Curitiba, which will have a minimum of 16°C today, falling to 13°C tomorrow, and 12°C on Monday (10) and Tuesday (11).
