Former President Jair Bolsonaro withdrew, on Sunday morning (14), eight skin lesions located on the trunk and right arm. The procedures were done at DF Star Hospital in Brasilia, where he also realized for laboratory and image exams.
Bolsonaro has been fulfilled house arrest since August 4 in the Jardim Botânico neighborhood of Brasilia. The trip to the hospital was authorized by the Supreme Court Minister (STF), Alexandre de Moraes.
According to a statement from the hospital the procedure was performed under local anesthesia and sedation, and “passed without complications”.
The bulletin also reports that Jair Bolsonaro was diagnosed with blood deficiency anemia in the blood and, for the correction of the condition, received intravenous iron replacement.
Additionally, another image exam showed that the former president has marks of a recent pulmonary infection. “Chest tomography showed residual image of recent bronchospiration pneumonia.”
Jair Bolsonaro left the hospital unit at 2 pm on Sunday, accompanied by son and councilman Jair Renan Bolsonaro (PL-SC) and followed, under the escort of the Penal Police, for his residence.
Next Steps
According to the medical team, Bolsonaro should continue with the treatment of hypertension, gastro-space reflux and preventive bronchoaspiration measures.
Soon, the note follows the report by a pathologist after the microscopic analysis of skin tissue samples (biopsy) to define treatment if necessary.
“In the coming days, the anatomopathological result of skin lesions will be made available for diagnostic definition and assessment of the need for therapeutic complementation.”
