A total of 22,135 customers of Enel, the energy concessionaire, were without electricity this Sunday morning (20) in the state of São Paulo, after the rain on Saturday (19). According to the company, the number represents 0.27% of total users.
In the capital of São Paulo alone, there are 15,570 properties without electricity, being the most affected in absolute numbers. Next comes São Bernardo do Campo, with 2,693 customers without electricity.
According to the state Civil Defense, Sunday will be marked by unstable weather across the state, even with the cold front already moving away from São Paulo territory.
“Temperatures will not rise as much and the thermal sensation will be milder. There is no risk of storms in any of the monitored areas,” he said in a note.
The agency adds that there is a possibility of isolated rain showers, followed by lightning, especially in municipalities that border the south of Minas Gerais. Furthermore, as the ground is already soaked due to the accumulation of the last 24 hours, Civil Defense recommends paying attention to more vulnerable areas, as there is a risk of disturbances.
