After protest, the company “Sr. de Acoria” in Huancayo has its permit to circulate canceled

What began as a demonstration due to unfair competition by transporters from the companies Municipal Saño, Quilcas, San Jerónimo, Grand Group and Etihsac, against the units of the Señor de Acoria Company, ended up leaving the latter without authorization to circulate on the streets of Huancayo.

The initial protest was that Señor de Acoria’s vehicles only had authorization to go as far as Av. Progreso, in El Tambo; However, they covered routes to Chilca without the authorities stopping them.

“This company does not have authorization to circulate here. It does what it wants and the managers don’t say anything. It seems like they bought the authorities,” the transporters denounced.

The protesters held a sit-in at the Transit and Transportation Management, at the CIN of Yanama, and, after detecting that the units were still picking up passengers, they intercepted and tried to detain the combi with license plate W2S-795 in the vicinity of the San Isidro park, an area through which it should no longer circulate. There were outbreaks of fighting there and security guards and police had to intervene.

After the incidents, the Provincial Municipality of Huancayo (MPH) received the protesting transporters, who expressed their rejection and denounced irregularities in the issuance of the permit of the Señor de Acoria Company; for example, that this was delivered in record time.

“We have demonstrated defects and irregularities in the GTyT. Its processing was in record time. In August they began the process and they were authorized in December,” denounced the transporter Edmundo Araujo.

Precisely, during the meeting it was learned, through a resolution, that the authorization that the commune had granted to the company was declared “partly void.”

“That is respected and now the inspection area will enforce the rule. They will no longer be able to provide the service because that is what the resolution indicates. This will be reviewed by the technical areas; my management was notified yesterday,” said the Transit Manager, Jorge Quispe Ávila.

They will investigate

Given the complaints of irregularities and alleged favors, Councilor Elio Laureano announced that the Transit and Transportation Commission will investigate the authorization of the Señor de Acoria Company.

“We are going to request information from the commission and review the documents. We are going to see the responsibilities of the officials, who have to be sanctioned,” Laureano pointed out.
