After more than three months of strike at the Social Security Fund (CSS) by administrative unions, this Wednesday the strike ends with the signing of an agreement reached between the authorities and officials.
The Secretary General of the CSS, Edwin Salamín, indicated that the agreement was reached with the mediation of the Ombudsman’s Office, where a declaration of principles was achieved that guarantees the lifting of the unemployment of officials and a series of commitments are adopted by both parties, including non-retaliation for those who participated in the strike.
He said that the Director of the CSS, Enrique Lau Cortés, will sign the document this Wednesday, February 8, in the morning.
Since last Tuesday, October 25, 2022, which began with an indefinite work stoppage in different health facilities and executing units, at the national level administrative officials and workers of the Social Security Fund, began a day of protests at the national level that culminated in a National Strike.
