To demonstrate this, the president of Morena, Luisa María Alcalde, the national leader of the PT and senator Alberto Anaya and the leader of the PVEM, Karen Castrejón Trujillo, the three allies of the so-called “Fourth transformation”, signed a unity agreement.
The commitment will be to remain united for the 2027 elections, in which federal elections will be held and 17 governorships will be renewed, but none of the leaders made any reference to the Electoral Reform that will be discussed in February and must be approved no later than March.
The leader of Morena, Luisa María Alcalde, said that with unity it is guaranteed that progress in the country will continue.
“Our party insists that it is risking the fourth transformation and we have resolved to maintain the coalition not only in 2027, but in 2030. There is no doubt about it,” declared Anaya, of the PT.
He also indicated that his party is the “strongest ally of the Fourth Transformation.”
”To those who want to see fissures in that sense, whoever wants to see lies, whoever wants to think that the coalition can fall apart, we tell you from now on you are wrong,” he added.
Castrejón assured that the Fourth Transformation has entered a consolidation phase and the allies showed “ability to process differences without putting governability at risk.”
However, no allusion was made to the fact that the differences had been resolved in talks held for several weeks in the Ministry of the Interior, headed by Rosa Icela Rodríguez.
Nor was any reference made to the mandate revocation process, carried out last Sunday in Oaxaca and in which the government headed by the Morenoist Salomón Jara and the PT would have been divided.
