Teams from the Urban Cleaning Company (Comlurb) remain working on the removal of the sand that hit the clues of Avenida Delfim Moreira, in Leblon, south of Rio de Janeiro, invaded on Tuesday (29) by sea force. The hangover that hit the state coast is reflex of an extratropical cyclone. 
According to the Navy, the forecast is that the waves with height between 2.5 and 3.5 meters begin to lose strength on Thursday (31) at night.
This Wednesday, during the cleaning of the waterfront, the Comlurb street veins found five dead penguins in the sand: two at Arpoador Beach, in Ipanema, and another three in Barra da Tijuca, in the West Zone. The Laboratory of Aquatic Mammals and Bioindicators of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) was called to collect material for analysis.
At this time of year, the penguins cross the narrow of Magalhães, Antarctica, and migrate to Rio de Janeiro.
The Delfim Moreira Avenue, on the edge of Leblon Beach, remains closed in both directions, for full cleaning of the tracks. The force of seawater was so strong that it even invaded garages and flowerbeds of high purchasing buildings. Leblon is the neighborhood with the most expensive square meter in Rio and the waterfront apartments have a value of over R $ 10 million.
For safety measure, traders returned to keep the leblon beach kiosks closed.
Weather forecast
Today, the city of Rio de Janeiro recorded the coldest temperature of the year, with thermometers marking a minimum of 10ºC. The maximum was 23.4ºC.
The Rio warning system, from the city hall, said that the night of Wednesday (30), will have partially cloudy sky, with moderate winds. There is no rain forecast for the next few hours.
Between Thursday (31) and Sunday (3), the positioning of a high pressure system will cause the reduction of cloudiness. For these days, there is no forecast of rain.
The winds will be moderate and can occur punctually strong gusts on Friday (1st) and Saturday, (2). Temperatures begin to rise gradually.
