The fire in the truck loaded with fuel was controlled by a team of PDVSA firefighters, from the Jesús Enrique Lossada and Maracaibo municipalities attached to the La Rotaria station, who during four hours of uninterrupted work managed to extinguish the flames.
This event occurred yesterday Friday at 9:00 pm at the facilities of Petróleos de Venezuela (Petro Urdaneta), located in the Campo Guaicaipuro sector of La Concepción, Jesús Enrique Lossada municipality, according to a report published by Dilmero Urdaneta on his Instagram dilmeronews.
Unofficially, it was learned that the truck was supplying fuel to the station, when the strong explosion was recorded, which generated alarm in the place and among the neighbors. Although there were material losses, the favorable thing is that no person was injured.
Officials from the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), Zulia State Bolivarian Police Corps (CPBEZ), Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) and Civil Protection (PC) also acted to control this emergency, who guarded the area.
The inhabitants of Campo Niquitao, which is the closest community to the place, remained alert, because the flames were very high and they feared that it could spread. Once the outbreak occurred, the request for support addressed to the firefighters circulated through the networks, obtaining a response that allowed the control of the incident.
So far there is no official report of the causes that caused this accident, it will be the investigations of the Fire Departments that intervened, which indicate the reasons that led to the explosion.
During the course of this Saturday, in La Concepción, people already expressed calm because the fire was controlled in time. It remains to wait for official pronouncements in this regard.
