After entering the country, former deputy Víctor González was deported

Victor Gonzalez joins the list of observers who have been deported. The largest delegation came from Spain, from the Popular Party, made up of 10 deputies, senators and MEPs.

This Saturday, July 27th, the Command with Venezuelacampaign manager for presidential candidate Edmundo González and opposition leader Maria Corina Machadodenounced that Víctor González, former national deputy of VOX, and former vice president of VOX, is currently being deported by the government of Nicolás Maduro.

González entered Venezuela on Friday, July 26, and today the Maduro administration “went to look for him at the hotel to deport him,” the command in X warned. “We demand that his physical integrity be respected and that the abuses cease,” they added.

The former deputy arrived on the same flight as the Popular Party delegation, whose members were later expelled from the country. After his entry into Venezuela, González assured that he was able to enter the country as a tourist to accompany the Venezuelan people on election day.

More than a dozen international parliamentarians, who hoped to participate as observers in the presidential elections in Venezuela on July 28, were expelled from Maiquetía on Friday, July 26.

The largest delegation came from Spain, from the Popular Party (PP). “I have just been informed that the PP delegation made up of 10 deputies, senators and MEPs is being held up at the Caracas airport by the Maduro regime,” wrote the president of that party, Alberto Núñez Feijoó, in X.

Feijoó demanded his immediate release and asked the Spanish government to provide the necessary means to that end. The official also said that he had “been in contact” with María Corina Machado, leader of the Venezuelan opposition. The former mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, was also on the list of those expelled. On Friday night she published a video, where she said “This country will be free again, don’t worry, they will be so scared that they will deport us. This regime will end on Sunday.”

For Colombia, Senator Angélica Lozano of the Green Party also shared a video where she condemned the treatment she received from immigration authorities in Venezuela. “They deported me with total abuse from the regime that is going to fall this Sunday for the good of Venezuela. Without arguments or information, they took our passports for an hour and a half, they didn’t tell us anything,” she said.
