The young people of the JCI of San Lorenzo (Junior Chamber of San Lorenzo) will carry out this Saturday a project called “Let’s take care of Sanlo” whose purposes consist of citizen awareness, cleaning of the watercourse and reforestation of the university city.
This activity will begin in the Ñu Pora area, followed by the most critical points of the main watercourse of San Lorenzo. In conjunction with Special Allies such as officials of the Municipality of San Lorenzo, Boys Scouts of La Merced and Heroes of the Homeland, Volunteer Firefighters, leading companies in the city and neighborhood commissions in the most affected areas.
JCI SAN LORENZO is currently committed to executing, promoting and promoting awareness of the care and protection of the environment that in recent years has witnessed the accelerated deterioration of our ecosystem due to massive and uncontrolled pollution as a result of the unawareness of citizens, which affect the water courses that cross our city, one of the most damaged being the iconic San Lorenzo stream, which at the time was a place of entertainment for the same society, today totally contaminated by the lack of care of the different sectors, pollution due to the inhabitants who live next to the stream and also the different companies near the watercourse.
It should be noted that the JCI SAN LORENZO (Junior Chamber of San Lorenzo) is one of the most important Organizations in the City, contributing greatly to the development and creation of various Institutions and Entities such as the creation of the Cooperativa San Lorenzo Ltda., the San Lorenzo Bar Association, Christian Youth Association, Boys Scouts among several others and seeing that we are still working, seeking to positively change our city.
JCI SAN LORENZO is one of the eleven organizations that exist in the Republic of Paraguay, giving the opportunity to young people from San Lorenzo to share experiences and ideas in pursuit of a better present and future for our community and our country.
