On Friday, in the Senate gallery, López Hernández referred to the cut to the Senate budget of 123 million pesos. He said that the termination of two contracts for 150 million pesos and another three or four more that were “little deals” from previous Senate administrations will be assumed.
The person responsible for the questioned administration was Monreal himself, who on the same day summoned his party colleague to present the corresponding complaints and ruled out anomalies.
This Monday, after President Claudia Sheinbaum reminded them both that they were elected by “the people” and they owe it to them, Monreal said that she will abide by that recommendation.
“I am a man without grudges and as President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said: love and peace,” he expressed.
In the dispute “we both lose and obviously those who do not agree with us rub their hands so that the dispute continues, I am not going to do it. “That is a personal but consistent decision.”
He also said that he does not plan to go looking for López Hernández in the Senate, “not even God sends it because in the Senate of the Republic there are high-level people.”
Despite the insistence, Monreal ruled out paying into the lawsuit and joked to avoid the issue: “you want the bull to horn me, I’m not going to get into that controversy.”
What he did leave us to see was an eventual meeting with President Sheinbaum. “I don’t know, but so you can see, I don’t know.”
He also revealed that yesterday, Sunday, he met with a hundred deputies, from whom he obtained support, and it was agreed to pay in the same unit that he took for granted, which is why he ruled out leaving the coordination of Morenoist deputies.
He even commented that it was he who on Friday, after the dispute with López Hernández, asked that a letter of support supposedly signed by all Morena deputies be removed from social networks, but that “almost 90%” support them.
