Slate and new account. The international public tender for the urban sanitation service in the municipality of Santa Cruz de la Sierra will start from scratch, as reported to the media Andrea Hoyos, manager of Emacruz, three days after the cancellation of the second contract, by determination of Mayor Jhonny Fernández.
The municipal official, during her first week in office, explained that the city will no longer be divided into two sectors (A and B) for the garbage collection service, now it will be a tender for the entire service in the city. On the other hand, the tree and grass pruning service will no longer be included, despite the fact that said service is part of the current contract with Vega Solvi.
Another important change announced by Hoyos is that a cost reengineering will be carried out because the duration of the contract is 2 years. The second contract established an amount of Bs 278 million for a period of 8 years.
“The total cancellation has been carried out, it is not an annulment of the contracting processes, the documentation can already be verified in the Sicoes (State Contracting System)”, he specified with papers in hand. It refers to the cancellation of the international public tender for sectors A and B and the cancellation of the final waste disposal process.
