The National Council for the Aging (CONAPE) He came to the aid of Mrs. Raymunda Minier alias Mundita, a hundred years old who demanded social assistance from the government since she requires social assistance to allow her to improve her living conditions.

Through a report published in the newspaper HOY, the older adult states that she has multiple needs and that she only has the government’s national health insurance, to which Dr. José García Ramírez, executive director of CONAPE, sent a multidisciplinary unit to give you assistance according to your needs.

A report published in the El País section, on the 25th of this year, reported that the elderly woman “Raymunda Minier, aged one hundred, survives by taking care of her family, since she does not receive any social assistance from the Government, except “SeNaSa subsidized insurance.”

“A multidisciplinary unit was immediately designated that visited Mrs. Mundita at her residence, where they provided her with medical and social assistance to determine her needs and thereby provide her with the necessary supplies to provide her with improved living conditions,” according to a press release from CONAPE. .

He adds that the unit was made up of Mr. do. José Estévez, coordinator of the social days; Dr. Arianny Matos, who performed a general evaluation, Inés Ortiz, provincial coordinator of CONAPE in Valverde Mao, among other collaborators.

The human team that assisted the older adult gave her medications, supplements, and proteins. Food rations, a walker, towels and disposable diapers and personal data was taken to manage a solidarity pension and the updating of his Identity and Electoral Card in coordination with the Central Electoral Board.

Likewise, CONAPE will manage the get over card and other benefits that will be obtained through the social assistance programs managed by CONAPE to provide older adults with comprehensive care that includes social assistance in response to their needs.

“Our response reaffirms that each older adult in vulnerable conditions is attended to immediately, in line with the institutional mission of promoting the well-being of this population.”

“The accelerated growth of the elderly population in our country, together with the decrease in birth rates, demands an increase in services and care for our elderly,” said Dr. García Ramírez.

Facing this challenge, CONAPE has implemented an inclusive care protocol that ensures that all older adults who need it are integrated into a comprehensive service system, without discrimination of race, creed or preferences. “To access our services, you only need to be Dominican and be 65 years old or older,” he stressed.
