The departmental prosecutor of La Paz, Luis Carlos Torrez, indicated that the subject was charged with murder and sent under preventive detention to the Chulumani public prison, from where he escaped on December 10, 2001 and was apprehended just this Tuesday, December 10, when He had been on the run for 23 years.

“Within the Free Justice Ecosystem of the Public Ministry, it was verified that a murder case, now Infanticide, had the corresponding investigation notebook in the Chulumani fiscal seat, but the background They were not in the court of that municipality and after requesting a report on the case, the Directorate of the Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Crimes Against Life instructed the search and arrest of the alleged perpetrator who was a fugitive and in a joint operation with the Police it was possible to capture him and place him before a judge to seek his maximum sentence,” Torrez explained.

The prosecutor reported that The event occurred on November 21, 2001 in the Pichard community of the municipality of La Asunta, when Rogelio argued with his common-law wife and his two-month-old baby began to cry, at that moment the subject would have made the infant ingest a substance (crop insecticide) that caused him to die. death due to chemical poisoning.

Subsequently, the victim’s mother reported the crime to the Chulumani authorities and the prosecutor assigned to that municipality ordered the arrest of the subject, who was sent under preventive detention to the local public prison, but On December 10 of that year he escaped and was declared in rebellion.
