The Labor Commission of the Congress of the Republic approved yesterday, Tuesday, May 3, the opinion that authorizes the optional withdrawal of up to an amount of 4 UIT or S / 18,400 from the Private System of Administration of Pension Funds (AFP). In this way, the opinion was expedited to be debated in plenary.
Now, it remains to be seen when the project is scheduled to go through the plenary session and be put to the vote. After that, it will go through the observation or not of the Executive for its subsequent publication in El Peruano and, therefore, its entry into force.
How to know how much money I have in the AFP?
Whether out of curiosity or because you want to withdraw a certain percentage of your savings in the fund, it is important to know the amount you have saved in your Pension Fund Administrator (AFP).

To do this, you just have to know which AFP you are affiliated with and enter their respective website with your RUT and password to check the total accumulated amount.
But what happens if I don’t know which AFP I belong to? You can find this out through the website of the Superintendence of Pensions only with your RUT.
On the other hand, remember that the profitability of AFP funds that you have at the time of the query depends on the proportion of money that you have invested in said account and the funds in which you have distributed the money.
How much money has already been withdrawn from AFP funds?
It would be the sixth extraordinary withdrawal of AFP funds that is authorized if approved in plenary.
According to the deputy superintendent of AFP of the SBS, Elio Sánchez, the contributors to the Private Pension System withdrew almost S / 66,000 million, with the five regulations issued to face the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition, he indicated that 45% of the amount withdrawn has been made by people who were working.

As is known, the AFP withdrawal ruling was approved by the Economy Commission of the Congress of the Republic on Tuesday, April 12, and yesterday it received the green light from the Labor Commission.
Now the next step is for the norm to be put to a vote in the Plenary of Congress and once it is approved in that instance, it would become a Law from the day after its publication in the Official Gazette El Peruano.
It is worth mentioning that once it is approved in plenary session, the autograph of the law must be sent to the President of the Republic for its promulgation within a period of 15 business days. Then, it will be reviewed by the Executive.
If he has no observations, the president promulgates the law, ordering its publication in the official newspaper El Peruano. But, if any observation to the opinion is presented, the President has 15 days to present it to Congress. If the term of 15 days has elapsed, the Executive does not formalize the proposed law sent, it is promulgated by the Presidency of Congress.
