The Mayor’s Office is carrying out evaluations of the sectors and possible damage caused by the rains.
The Mayor’s Office of Guarne, eastern Antioquia reported that this Friday there was heavy rainfall in this town, accompanied by hail, which caused damage to crops and properties.
According to the preliminary report delivered by the local president, Mauricio Grisales in the UPR Yolombal, especially in the La Mejía village, Los Rúa sector, reports damage to crops and some homes after the strong hailstorm that was presented in the last hours.
In addition, he stated that they are carrying out the tours and evaluations of all sectors of the municipality to provide the consolidated report of the effects to be generated and thus, be able to start with the necessary interventions to address this situation.
The mayor assured that the previous year the UPR Yolombal was also affected by the rainy seasons, where there was damage and loss of crops, affecting farmers in this sector.
“We are very attentive to being able to support them, to give them that helping hand, that meaningful and real help, because this is not really contained in anyone, they are facts of nature, but Thank God Guarne is not affected like there are in other areas of the country“were the words of the president.

On the other hand, heavy rainfall also occurred in the Aburrá Valley, andespecially in the town of Santa Elena. As for the municipalities of Barbosa, Envigado and Itagüí, rains of low to moderate intensity were recorded, according to the Early Warning System of Medellín and the Aburrá Valley.
Another of the municipalities that has been affected by heavy rains is the district of Turbo, where flooding of up to 80% is reported in this town.
