The AFE Cultural Center in Colonia del Sacramento became the National Cultural Center. The event took place on Thursday the 15th.
The ceremony was led by the Minister of Culture, Pablo Da Silveira, the mayor of Colonia, Carlos Moreira, and the Director of Culture of the Municipality, Eduardo Barale, among other authorities.
Mayor Moreira expressed at the ceremony “the importance that our department has historically given to the cultural aspect.” He added that it is a “proud for the administration of its home schools, libraries, museums, and all that baggage of cultural values and respect for education that have to do with our own origins.”
