Aerolíneas Argentinas transported almost 2.4 million passengers between January and February, which is 5% higher than the 2019 mark, when 2.2 million passengers were transported in the same period, company sources reported.
The most chosen destinations were Bariloche, Mendoza, Córdoba, Salta, Iguazú, El Calafate, Ushuaia, Trelew/Madryn, Tucumán and Mar del Platawhich represented close to 50% of the passengers transported in said period.
A significant percentage of passenger traffic during the quarter was concentrated on federal routes and corridors, which contributed almost 20% of the total.
There, the routes to Mar del Plata from Córdoba, Mendoza, Rosario and Tucumán, the flights to Bariloche and Iguazú from Córdoba and Rosario, the northern tourist circuits and the Patagonia Fantástica corridor stood out.
In addition, the sources highlighted the beginning of the regular operation with Merlo, San Luis, with 2 weekly frequencies and full occupancy.

The occupancy percentages exceeded the average 83% in all the networks, highlighting the performance in the domestic, with occupancies above 90%.
The sources pointed out the records of passengers transported at the Bariloche airport, with more than 95 weekly flights from Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Rosario, El Calafate, Viedma, Mendoza, Salta, Tucumán and San Pablo.
Along the same lines, other destinations such as Jujuy and El Calafate were mentioned, which broke historical passenger records.
