“We are testing the different circuits installed in the different areas of the airport terminal with the aim of validating its state,” he said.

The Airport Commission determined that Aerodom must cover damage to passengers and airlines

The Airport Commission ordered on Tuesday that Aerodom pays, for the benefit of the Dominican State, the sum of five million dollars (US $ 5,000,000.00), for the damages caused by the blackout at the Terminal of the International Airport of the Americas (AILA).

The measure also includes that Aerodom loads with the costs associated with damage caused to passengers and airlines.

The Commission met extraordinarily and determined, in its preliminary report, that an inter-institutional investigation proved that the electrical ruling was caused by the collapse of the medium-voltage cell-sequencer of the northern terminal and the unavailability of the backing circuit (mirror).
