Given the current situation that affects the Dominican real estate market, the Association of Real Estate Agents and Companies (AEI) calls on home buyers to use recognized and experienced construction companies, projects and real estate agencies.
“We call to ensure that affected consumers have agile and effective ways to assert their rights and protect their investment. Likewise, we want to highlight the collateral impact that these practices generate on real estate professionals, in their capacity as intermediary agents, who are unfairly held responsible for the non-compliance of some promoters, developers or opportunistic builders, facing claims that damage the image, our businesses and the ability to offer a quality service,” said Alberto Bogaert, president of the AEI.
In turn, the AEI values that in the Dominican market there are responsible actors through established unions, such as the Dominican Association of Housing Builders and Developers (Acoprovi), Association of Housing Developers and Builders of Cibao (Aprocovici), Association of Builders of Santo Domingo Este (Acosde), among others.
The AEI reiterated its commitment to transparency, ethics and professionalization of the real estate sector in the Dominican Republic, being available to the authorities to collaborate in the design of a regulatory framework that protects both consumers and real estate agents. and that promotes a fair and reliable market.
