AEBU will hold strikes in official banking and march to Punta del Este on February 25

AEBU defined a series of union measures in the official banking sector, demanding a negotiation in good faith, within the framework of the discussion of the new collective agreement.

They demand the entry of personnel, that the outsourced and privatized ones be considered as vacancies to be filled, the salary increase, and the inclusion of the National Housing Agency (ANV) in the collective agreement of the official bank.

On the other hand, the bankers’ union questions that the State Insurance Bank “is not allowed to send information on the referendum against 135 articles of the Law of Urgent Consideration (LUC), through the channels that are usually uses the union to communicate with its members.”

Within this framework, AEBU defined a series of union measures that will begin this Thursday the 10th with a 24-hour strike at the Banco Hipotecario del Uruguay (BHU) branches, and will continue on Friday the 11th with another strike, also 24 hours, but in the headquarters of the BHU.

In turn, AEBU will hold a march to Punta del Este on February 25.
