The leader of the PAN, Marko Cortés, yesterday uncovered Enrique Vargas, former mayor of Huixquilucan, as his party’s candidate for governor of the state of Mexico, after Morena announced that his standard-bearer will be the Secretary of Education, Delfina Gómez.
Although Cortés’s decision was interpreted in political circles as an indication that there would be no opposition coalition in that entity, Rubén Moreira, coordinator of the PRI in the Chamber of Deputies, said that it will be built. He explained that each of the parties will present their proposal to discuss and reach an agreement on the standard bearer.
This has happened in all the states where the PAN, PRI and PRD have been in alliance, highlighted the PRI member, who trusted that the alliance will be powerful and will win next year’s elections in that entity.
Jesús Zambrano, from the PRD, explained that they continue to dialogue. In his party, he indicated that there is the coordinator of the local deputies, Omar Ortega; in the PRI there are other options and the PAN has already announced its own.
He pointed out that a mechanism must be processed that gives enough confidence to build the possibilities of going together. This is just beginning, don’t let the cravings eat us up
he added.
Cortés trusted that Vargas’s candidacy will be consolidated as the best proposal, either in coalition or individually.
The PAN and PRD leaders said that Gómez is an electoral criminal who showed her ineptitude in the SEP. Despite this, now they reward her with a candidacy.

The former mayor and current local deputy said he was ready to beat Gomez in any scenario.
