The president of the Council of Ministers, Gustavo Adrianzén, highlighted that, in September of this year, the national production increased 3.16% compared to the same month in 2023, thus registering six consecutive months of growth according to the latest technical report on national production prepared by the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI).
The Chief of Staff considered that these figures are the result of the positive performance that the majority of the country’s economic sectors continue to show, which demonstrates – as he said – the Peruvian economic solidity, which is “a product of the responsible practice of economic policy.” promoted by the government.
He also welcomed that national production in the period January – September 2024 increased by 2.98%: “Economic reactivation is a priority for this Government and our achievements support us. National production is not only recovering, but also registering six months of continuous growth. The different industries present positive indicators and the outlook is equally auspicious.”
“Peru maintains an economic expansion rate of 4.1%. In this way, the country’s economy maintains a higher average than that registered by other countries that make up APEC.”he pointed out.
According to the latest technical report on national production from the INEI, an entity attached to the PCM, the majority of economic sectors reported positive indicators, highlighting the category of Transportation, Storage and Couriers, whose production showed an advance of 7.55% in September.
