After the TC ordered the annulment of the final report against Pedro Castillo for treasonRené Gastelumendi and Anuska Buenaluque spoke with Congresswoman Adriana Tudela about her opinion on this resolution.
“Obviously, it is a subject that had generated many doubts. I have learned this afternoon that the TC has declared the nullity and unanimous approval of the report and I believe that it is part of living in a democracy. Finally, there are institutional counterweights, the acts of Congress can be counterbalanced by a decision of the TC ”, he asserted.
In addition, he stated that congressmen “have to respect” the decision of the TC. He also pointed out that this resolution is “reliable proof” that there is no “plot” in progress.
He also referred to the process that was carried out to make the complaint for treason.
“I believe that the work of the Subcommittee has had the intention of respecting the Regulations of Congress and respecting the procedure, guaranteeing due process. I understand that the TC has considered that this is not the case and that is precisely what it was going with that finally that means living in a democracy, ”he said.
